ACT/SAT Test Prep - METHODIZEStudents can take advantage of ACT/SAT Test Prep in XELLO. Methodize is Method Learning’s brand new online learning platform. Methodize consists of newly updated and revised ACT and SAT courses. Our online program has served over a million students in the past two decades and Methodize distills that experience into a new platform that makes it easier for students and teachers to do test prep. Students can access Methodize under "Links and Resources" in their XELLO account.

The ACT is available to be taken at South High School for any student on the following National Testing dates:
  • September 19, 2026
  • October 17, 2026
  • December 12, 2026
  • June 12, 2027

 

ACT testing at SHS begins at 8:00 a.m. and students are encouraged to report no later than 7:45 a.m. on the day of the test.

For the 2026-27 school year, the ACT is offered free for juniors at Central High School during the school day in February. The sign up window will close December 14, 2026. If you have questions, please reach out to Candy Fitzpatrick or any counselor.

    
     

 

Seniors who did not take the free ACT in the spring of 2026are eligible to take the ACT for free on the February 24, 2026 testing date.

ACT Test Options and Prices

ACT Test Options and Prices for Testing Through July 2026

  Fee     Details
The ACT Test $70.00     The ACT Test includes the English, math, and reading sections.
Writing Add-On Fee $25.00        More about the ACT with writing. Can be added or removed through the late deadline.
Science Add-On Fee $5.00     More about the science section. Can be added or removed through the late deadline.
Change Fee $49.00     Includes making a Test Form Change, Test Day Change, or Test Center Change.
Late registration $42.00     Registration or test date change made during the late period for a national test date.
