Week 31
Brooke Banninger
Brooke is a junior at Central High School. She is a member of the National Honor Society (NHS), a Student Council officer (STUCO), a Link Leader and a member of the softball, basketball and tennis teams. Brooke enjoys being involved in STUCO and appreciates the opportunity to be creative alongside her friends and peers. Outside of school, she stays active through sports and loves spending her free time with family and friends. Although she has not yet decided on her plans after high school, she is keeping an open mind and exploring her options.

Nadia Martinez Avila
Nadia is a senior at Central High School. She is a member of the soccer team, and her favorite class is art, as she enjoys a change of pace from traditional schoolwork. Outside of school, she is a CNA and is working on her CMA certification. After graduation, Nadia plans to attend Salina Area Technical College to study nursing. Some fun facts about her include that her favorite color is purple and she loves to binge watch shows.
Week 29
Gage Martin
Gage is a freshman at Central High School. He is a member of the band, Scholars Bowl and HOSA. Gage appreciates the support he receives from his classmates and teachers at CHS, who encourage him to do his best work and be his best self. Outside of school, he attends church and enjoys reading, baking and playing the piano. After high school, he plans to attend college and work toward becoming a doctor. A fun fact about him is that he has one Labrador Retriever.
Week 28
Wyatt Angell
Wyatt is a junior at Central High School. He appreciates the sense of community at CHS and the kindness and caring mentality of his fellow classmates. He is involved in theatre, choir, Choraliers and Free Spirit, with his favorite classes being Repertory Theatre and Free Spirit. After high school, Wyatt plans to continue his education at a state university. He is currently keeping his options open but is considering pursuing psychology. Some fun facts about him include that he is a state thespian officer for Kansas Thespians. This is his second term, and he will serve from 2024 to 2026. He was also recently nominated for a leading Jester Award for his performance as Orpheus in Hadestown.
Week 27
Ryne Callahan
Ryne is a sophomore at Central High School. He is a member of the track and football teams. His favorite class is science, because of the hands-on style of learning. Outside of school, Ryne is involved with Boy Scouts and attends church. After high school, he plans to attend college and study engineering or finance. Some fun facts about him include that he enjoys camping and fishing in his free time.

Gabriel De Leon
Gabriel is a senior at Central High School. At school, he loves meeting new people and always strives to do his best. Gabriel is kind, supportive and happy to help classmates, whether they need a hand with work or a pep talk. Gabriel is currently part of the careers program at CHS, and after graduation, he looks forward to transitioning into the Project Search program, where he will continue developing workplace skills and exploring different career paths. Outside of school, he helps his father out with his food truck. A fun fact about Gabriel is that he has three brothers.

Jasmine Comes
Jasmine is a freshman at Central High School. She is a member of the tennis and bowling teams. Her favorite part of attending CHS is the kindness of the teachers and the variety of clubs and activities offered. After high school, Jasmine plans to attend college and study to become a realtor or focus on entrepreneurship and start her own business. Some fun facts about her include that she enjoys staying active, prides herself on being kind and has two dogs.
Week 24
Morgan Pavey
Morgan is a sophomore at Central High School. She is a member of HOSA—Future Health Professionals, and plays tennis. Her favorite class is Medical Investigations with Dr. Carrizales, where she enjoys the material and greatly appreciates Dr. Carrizales’s teaching style. After graduation, she plans to study neurology or astrophysics. A few fun facts about Morgan include that she loves reading, learning about astronomy, playing tennis in her free time and working out.

Kevin Martinez
Kevin is a junior at Central High School and is a member of the Spanish Club. He is grateful for the amazing teachers at Central and how helpful they are. After high school, Kevin plans to earn an associate degree in business and attend a technical college to complete an electrical program. Outside of school, he spends most of his time working. When he’s not at work, he loves spending quality time with family and friends
Week 22
Kaitlyn Martin
Kaitlyn is a senior at Central High School. She is a member of the Art Club and the Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA) leadership team. She loves the art department at CHS and is grateful for how both Mr. Cullins and Mr. Wellbrock inspire her to excel and reach her full potential. After graduation, Kaitlyn plans to attend Kansas State University to study architecture. Outside of school, Kaitlyn enjoys roller derby, robotics, working and spending time with her friends. Fun facts about Kaitlyn include that she has two cats and two dogs that she loves dearly, she has a passion for art and all creative pursuits. Kaitlyn keeps busy with a variety of hobbies, but her main hobbies are drawing, sewing and listening to new music.

Marshall Zuccarelli
Marshall is a freshman at Central High School. He is a member of the cross country and track and field teams, as well as being a part of the gifted program. Marshall looks forward to discussions in English and his Extended Learning Opportunity (ELO) class with Mr. Dow. After graduation, he plans to attend college and study business. Outside of school, Marshall is a member of the Winter Soldiers and Distance Inc. conditioning groups. Some fun facts about him include his love for running, traveling and reading the Bible.

Viviana Segura
Viviana is a sophomore at Central High School. She is a member of Future Farmers of America (FFA), a wrestling manager and in scholars bowl. Viviana’s favorite class is animal science. She loves Ms. Elder’s style of teaching and fun personality! Outside of school, Viviana loves cooking, spending time with her family and friends and embracing her hispanic heritage. After graduation, she plans to become a veterinarian. A fun fact about Viviana is that she is the third child in her family to attend CHS, both of her older sisters are CHS alumni.
Week 19
Natalie Hogeland
Natalie is a junior at Central High School. She is involved in FFA (Future Farmers of America). Natalie loves her American justice class with Ms. Eades as she finds the information interesting. Outside of school Natalie does Taekwondo! After high school, she plans to join the workforce and attend college to pursue her education. A fun fact about Natalie is that in her free time, she loves going on bike rides and taking her dog on walks!
Week 18
Keaton Myers
Keaton is a senior at Central High School. He is a member of the band, the bowling team, the chess club, D&D Club (Dungeons and Dragons Club) and theatre. Keaton enjoys theatre because he is able to express his creativity while working alongside his friends. Outside of school, he is involved in Boy Scouts. After graduation, Keaton plans to attend Wichita State University and pursue graphic design. A fun fact about him is that he has built a very large lego city!

Vianey Esquivel
Vianey is a freshman at Central High School. She is a member of the volleyball team and enjoys connecting with her friends and peers at school. Her favorite class is art with Mr. Cullins, she appreciates his kindness and sense of humor. And, Mr. Alvarado and Mr. Frost’s enthusiasm is something she looks forward to. Currently, Vianey is exploring her options for the future and keeping an open mind about her plans after high school. Some fun facts about Vianey include that she enjoys playing volleyball and loves spending her free time drawing. Also, at her moms house she has one dog, a Doberman!

Braelyn Diggs
Braelyn is a sophomore at Central High School. She enjoys participating in all of her classes, and has found inspiration from Mr. Newell to take as many college courses that she can. Braelyn is a member of the softball team, student council and spends her time refereeing, playing softball and going to the gym. After high school, she will attend Kansas State University to study biology. Beyond that she will work toward her O.D. (Doctor of Optometry degree) at Missouri State University. A fun fact about Braelyn is that she enjoys listening to motivational podcasts and reading non-fiction books in her free time.

Gracie Trusty
Gracie is a junior at Central High School. She is a member of the varsity bowling team. When she’s not bowling she enjoys connecting with the friendly school staff members at Central. Although her future plans are undecided at the moment, Gracie is keeping her options open to explore possibilities post graduation. A fun fact about Gracie is that she has a twin sister!

Tessa Snyder
A senior at Central High School, Tessa loves lending a helping hand during her library science hour. She also enjoys her AP Literature class with Mrs. Byarlay. Tessa stays active through volleyball, basketball and softball and is involved with LINK leaders and a member of National Honor Society. After graduation, Tessa plans to attend Doane University and study radiology. Tessa cherishes the opportunity to play three sports with an amazing group of teammates. Currently, she’s enjoying basketball season alongside them!

Imani De La Cruz Bonane
Imani is a freshman at Central High School. She enjoys orchestra class because it provides a fun and engaging environment. Alongside participating in the orchestra, Imani is also a member of the tennis team and the French club. Outside of school, Imani spends her time crocheting and playing in the Youth Symphony as well as the District Orchestra. After high school, she plans to pursue a career in either law or aviation. A fun fact about Imani is that she has a pet dog and a betta fish.

JD Kathrineberg
JD is a sophomore at Central High School. At school, JD loves making new friends, and his favorite class is drafting. He is a member of the orchestra, the Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA), the Dungeons and Dragons Club (D&D Club), and math relay. Outside of school, JD takes private violin lessons, participates in the Salina Youth Symphony and enjoys playing video games in his free time. JD wants to pursue a career path that includes math, coding or video game design. A fun fact about JD is that he has a dog named Lucy.

Olivia Murphy
Olivia is a junior at Central High School. At school, she looks forward to Mr. Alvarado’s ELO class. Olivia is a member of the soccer team, Student Council, National Honor Society and LINK. Outside of school, Olivia enjoys spending quality time with her friends. After high school, she plans to pursue a career in nursing. Fun facts about Olivia include her love for K-State and that she has two dogs.

Nathalia Franco
Nathalia is a senior at Central High School. She enjoys participating in choir and helping people through her work as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Home Health Aide (HHA) outside of school. Nathalia plans to pursue nursing after graduation. A fun fact about Nathalia is that she has been involved with choir since the fourth grade

Kevia Pennyfeather
Kevia is a freshman at Central High School. Kevia enjoys learning new things daily, her favorite classes are drafting with Mr. Hair, and Orchestra with Mrs. Modin. At school, Kevia is a member of the track team and in orchestra. Outside of school, Kevia is a member of the Salina Youth Symphony, the KWU Orchestra and takes private lessons. After graduation, Kevia plans to attend Howard University and study architecture. Some fun facts about Kevia are that she is from an island called Antigua and Barbuda and moved to the United States five years ago, she is an only child and has three pets; a great dane, a miniature poodle and a cat.

Ashlyn Calhoun
Ashlyn is a sophomore at Central High School. Ashlyn plays volleyball and is involved with FFA. She loves FFA with Miss Elder because she likes being a part of something that teaches people new things and gives them a community. Her future plans include attending Kansas State University after graduation and studying pediatric nursing or elementary education. A fun fact about Ashlyn is that her favorite color is purple.

Victoria Shuler
Victoria is a junior at Central High School. Victoria enjoys algebra and sociology classes because of Mr. Hall and Mr. Rose’s teaching. Their methods make understanding and remembering material clear and effortless. After graduation, Victoria plans on entering the workforce and exploring new opportunities. Some fun facts about Victoria are that she is interested in mechanical puzzles, likes to play pool and has one dog and one cat, Lily and Eclipse.

Avery Adkins
Avery is a senior at Central High School. His favorite subject is his culinary class, and he is a member of the gaming club. Outside of school Avery enjoys spending time with his family and playing video games. Avery’s plans after graduation include attending college and pursuing entrepreneurship. A fun fact about Avery is that he has five cats and one dog.

Lauren is a freshman at Central High School. Lauren's favorite classes are into to public service careers and English. At school she is involved in book club, and outside of school she likes to read, paint and hike in her free time. Lauren's future plans include attending college after high school.
Week 4
Grace Ostmeyer
Grace is a sophomore at Central High School. Grace enjoys English and history because she excels in these subjects, she also values interacting with her peers at school. Grace is a member of the girls’ basketball team, volleyball team, softball team and FCA. Outside of school Grace plays club basketball and volleyball and spends her free time reading and listening to music. After high school, Grace plans to continue her education and attend college. A fun fact about Grace is that she is the oldest of three children in her family; she has one brother and one sister.

Mykah Trusty
Mykah is a senior at Central High School. Mykah enjoys seeing her classmates and her position as a Pylon photo editor. Besides being involved with the Pylon, she is a member of the softball team, a wrestling manager, on the student council and in the choir. Outside of school, she stays busy working as a server during the school year and at a pool during the summers. After high school, Mykah plans on attending college and studying criminology and journalism. Some fun facts about Mykah are that she has 2 dogs and 1 cat, loves taking sports pictures and enjoys eating queso.

Oscar Perez
Oscar is a junior at Central High School. He is on the baseball team, a member of the student council and involved with link leaders. Oscar looks forward to showing his school spirit at the football games by participating as a maroon in the student section. Outside of school Oscar plays baseball, spends time with his two brothers and his dog and attends church. Oscar’s future plans involve attending college and continuing playing baseball.

Parker Graves
Parker is a junior at Central High School. He is involved with FCA, is a member of the Link Crew and on the Baseball team. Parker’s favorite class is Mr. Rose’s history class as he enjoys all of the group activities they do. Outside of school Parker loves to golf, play baseball and participate in his church group. After Graduation Parker plans to attend Kansas State University and study Business.
